Chair Massage Helps Assure Attendee Satisfaction
While Building Goodwill and Generating Revenue!
There are so many ways to use massage at your event to help exhibitors generate traffic and make attendees happy. Here’s just a few…
Sponsorship Opportunity: Offering chair massages for sponsorship is a great opportunity for one or more sponsors. Exhibiting or not, sponsoring a chair massage station is great added exposure. Plus the sponsorship is another source of revenue to help cover the cost of your event. Give it a name and add It to your sponsorship list. Here’s a few names that are commonly used… Relaxation Station, Oasis, Stress-Free Zone or Massage Recharge Zone.
Rest Stops: One or more sponsored chair massage stations and chair masseuse at each rest stop. These work great for large conventions and venues and trade shows with large exhibit halls or more than one. You may offer daily sponsorship and make it more affordable for smaller and/or new Exhibitors.
Exhibitor Lounges: Exhibitors normally put in long hours. Chair Massage is a great way to help them recharge. Great Association sponsorship. Exhibitors Love It!
Registration Area: A sponsored chair massage area near registration offers great relief from the tension and stress of traveling, as well as waiting in registration lines. Again great sponsorship exposure.
Association/Membership Booth: Provide free chair massages for joining or renewing membership.
Hospitality Suites: Relax and refresh VIPs with your company’s or association’s own personal chair masseuse.

The Science… Health Benefits
A seated chair massage is more than a luxury that leaves you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. It can have positive health implications. In just 10 minutes, your blood pressure and heart rate decrease, Dr. Tiffany Field, founder of the Touch Research Institute at the University of Miami School of Medicine told “More” magazine. Any type of massage, including chair massage, can reduce stress, improve sleep, help sore and tight muscles and enhance immunity. And anyone who needs to stay alert and focused, should get a short chair massage quick.
Controlled studies, conducted at University of Miami School of Medicine, Duke and Georgetown Universities. Groups of subjects received 10-15-minute chair massages, while other groups rested for the same period of time. EEG results showed that subjects who received chair massages, had an increase in delta brain waves, suggesting they were more relaxed than the rested group and a decrease in alpha and beta brain waves (indicating greater alertness). The massaged subjects also worked math computations faster and more accurately than the groups who only rested for the same periods of time. So what better time do you need attendees and exhibitors alert and focused than during your event?
